Gas Prices Are Climbing In The Last Week

Gas prices will be gobbling at your wallet during Thanksgiving week.

DEARBORN, MI — Get out your wallet, because gas prices in the state of Michigan are going up.

According to the latest numbers from Dearborn-based AAA Michigan, the average price for self-service regular unleaded gasoline in the state is about $2.11 per gallon. That's a 6 cent per gallon jump in just the last week. A year ago at this time, the average gallon of regular unleaded gasoline in Michigan was $1.96.

Typically, gas prices surge around road trip-heavy holiday weekends and with Thanksgiving just around the corner, the latest gas prices will be gobbling at your wallet.
