Longtime Dearborn Clothing Store Moving To Plymouth
A popular Dearborn clothing store along Michigan Avenue is planning to move into Plymouth.

DEARBORN, MI — A longtime Dearborn clothing store is moving to Plymouth, Patch learned.
Manno Clothing, located at 23810 Michigan Ave., is planning to move to into Plymouth, as the independent men’s retail store looks for a larger space, co-owner Anthony Manno said.
"We’ve essentially tapped it out. Our staff has grown to 16 people with the combination of managers, tailors, pressers," Manno said. "As the business has grown. … We need the added space. Additionally, we find that the move a little west is actually more centralized to our general clientele."

Manno believes customers’ unique bond with the store will overcome any concerns about switching to the new Plymouth location. The new store will be at 1009 Ann Arbor Road. No exact opening date wasn't immediately released.
"People are finding us when the look-up ‘custom suits near me' or ‘wedding suits near me,'" Manno said. "Because of that they’re driving more than a half-hour to see us. There’s a lot of intentionality behind that because they’re making an investment in their appearance and in an experience."

"Their mindset is, ‘I’m going here for great service, hospitality and to be treated like family," Manno added. "There will be an adjustment period with some people saying, ‘Where are you?’ But, over time, the move will be a benefit."
The independent men’s retail store will hold a public sale at its current Dearborn location from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday and Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, and 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday.
The store will then return to its normal business hours of 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday and Wednesday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, and 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday as the inventory reduction continues.
