"Chick-fil-A not only holds a special place in my heart, but in my family’s heart as well," Schultes said. "Growing up in Alabama, it was our family’s tradition to drive 25 minutes to the closest Chick-fil-A to celebrate any accomplishment or special occasion by sharing a meal together."

The Monroe restaurant joins 11 other Chick-fil-A restaurants serving the wider Detroit market, including one in Southfield that opened in September.
