No Charges Filed In Fatal Dearborn Shooting: Police

DEARBORN, MI — A person who was arrested in connection with a fatal Dearborn shooting last Friday has been released from jail, according to police.
The shooting happened at 11 p.m. last Friday at a home in the 1700 block of Walnut Street, according to police.

The shooter was arrested and placed in jail until being released on Monday after prosecutors declined to file charges.
"(Prosecutors) cited insufficient evidence to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the defendant was not acting in defense of another," said Dearborn police, citing the prosecutor's office.
