Superheroes, Denim Top Picks for Back-to-School Shoppers.
Here's a look at the 2013-2014 fashion trends for students heading back to school in Dearborn.

Bold graphics. Superheroes. Denim. Those are just a few of the trends kids in grades K-12 are out shopping for in Dearborn in anticipation of the new school year.
"Comics are huge right now," a store associate at Forever 21 in Fairlane Mall said. "Girls and guys cannot get enough superhero clothes."
The store said some top sellers include Marvel Comics T-shirts, leggings and dresses. Shirts range in price from $12 to $14.80.
Trisha Palmer, a store associate at Love Culture, said skinny denim jeans are also a hot item this year.
"We get a shipment in once every few weeks and we can't keep the denim on the shelves," she said.
Other popular items include leather jackets ($19.95), leggings (two for $10), Yoga skinnies ($7.90) and graphic T- shirts.
Steven Straight, an employee at The Children's Place, said he has also seen a spike in graphic T- shirt sales.
"The T- shirts are always a big seller, but especially now with so many summer movies that cane out featuring superheroes," he said.
The store also sells jeggings ($15), and basic denim jeans ($10). It's also the place to go to pick up a school uniform.
While some parents might be finished with their shopping, Daina Browning, assistant manager at Justice, says accessories are equally important.
"Our backpacks are popular with young girls ages 6-13," she said. "People start early and buy gifts for Ramadan in Dearborn. We have plenty of cool back-to-school items that are trendy right now."
