Thanksgiving Day Weather Forecast Looks Sunny

A high of about 39 degrees is expected for Thanksgiving Day. Find out what the forecast is for Black Friday.

Winter is still a month away, but you wouldn’t know it by this week’s weather forecast. After a brief warm up on Monday and Tuesday, temperatures will take a dive just in time for Thanksgiving.

The bright spot? No snow is forecasted by the National Weather Service. Here’s a closer look at metropolitan Detroit’s work week weather:

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 46. Southwest wind 13 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Monday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 38. South southwest wind around 17 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph.

Tuesday: A chance of showers after 4pm. Increasing clouds, with a high near 49. Breezy, with a south southwest wind 13 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent. Tuesday Night: A chance of rain showers, mixing with snow after 9pm, then gradually ending. Cloudy, then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 28. West northwest wind 9 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 36. Northwest wind 6 to 8 mph. Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 28.

Thanksgiving Day: Mostly sunny, with a high near 39. Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 30.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 44. Friday Night: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 40.
