Wayne County Compass Program Earns NACo Award
New features coming this fall to Compass include increased compatibility with cell phones and tablets.

Wayne County’s Compass program has earned a 2013 Achievement Award in the category of transportation, from the National Association of Counties (NACo).
Wayne County Compass is a web-based, user-friendly, one-stop-shop where motorists can get up-to-the-minute traffic and weather conditions in Wayne County and the surrounding region.
"We are delighted that NACo has recognized our Compass system, one of the first of its kind in metro Detroit and in the United States,” said Wayne County executive Robert Ficano. “We believe Compass, as part of our Wayne County Roads Division integrated command center in Romulus, is an example of providing enhanced services to citizens while making the best use of resources."
