Woman Killed In Wayne Co. Hit-And-Run Crash: Police
Police are still investigating the crash and are reviewing nearby security video and asking for any information from the public.
BROWNSTOWN TOWNSHIP, MI — A Brownstown Township woman was killed in a Wednesday hit-and-run crash, according to police.
The crash happened at 9:45 p.m. Wednesday on Dix-Toledo Road, between King and Carter roads in Brownstown Township, according to police.
Officers found 81-year-old Sandra Bacon dead in the roadway, according to police.

The vehicle involved in the crash left the scene before officers arrived, according to police.
Police are still investigating the crash and are reviewing nearby security video and asking for any information from the public. They noted it is possible the driver may not have known they struck the elderly person.

"We urge anyone who may have witnessed this incident or has information about the driver or vehicle involved to please come forward," police said in a statement.
