Women’s Health Care Classic
hosted by Karen Wilson Smithbauer and Drs. Harris, Birkhill, Wang, Songe & Assoc. raises more than $275K for women's programs.
On June 10, more than $275,000 was raised at the Women’s Health Care Classic hosted by Karen Wilson Smithbauer and Drs. Harris, Birkhill, Wang, Songe & Assoc., PC. These funds will support women’s health care services at Corewell Health hospitals in Dearborn, Taylor, Trenton and Wayne.
The Women’s Health Care Classic is a two-course event with a women’s-only tournament at Dearborn Country Club and a mixed tournament (men and women) at TPC Michigan. The event provided an opportunity for women and men from across Southeast Michigan to enjoy a day of golf on one of two premier, private courses.
Monies raised from this event help to finance more than 80 women’s services - from advanced medical equipment to scholarships for uninsured and underinsured women so they may receive breast care services. Specific support is given for transportation to and from appointments, wigs & head coverings, educational materials, facility renovations and updates, and endowments for continuing care giver education.
