High-Speed Motorcyle Chase Ends in Crash Near Dexter
Hamburg Township police chased a motorcyclist into Dexter and arrested him after the motorcycle crashed into a police car on Wednesday.

DEXTER — A high-speed police chase which began in Hamburg Township ended in a crash Wednesday afternoon in Dexter Village.
According to a press release from the Hamburg Police Department, at approximately 12:30 p.m., officers attempted to stop the driver of a 2003 Yamaha for speeding. The cyclist led officers on a high speed chase through Hamburg and Dexter Township reaching speeds up to 115 miles per hour.
According to WDIV Channel 4, the chase ended near Island Lake Road in the Village of Dexter when the speeding motorcyclist crashed at East Ridge and Park Ridge drives after striking another police car.

According to the news station, the 21-year-old motorcyclist refused medical treatment at the scene and was arrested on charges of fleeing and eluding police.
Calls to the Hamburg Township Police Department were not returned at the time of this post.
