MI Bicyclist Dies After Being Hit By 3 Different Cars: Sheriff
Officials said one car fled the scene.
GRAND HAVEN TOWNSHIP, MI — A bicyclist died Sunday after he was hit by multiple vehicles in west Michigan, according to sheriff's officials.
The crash happened at 6:15 p.m. Sunday on Mercury Drive near Lake Avenue in Grand Haven Township, officials said.
Officials said the 26-year-old Grand Haven man was riding a bike northwest along Mercury Drive when he was hit by an SUV that was moving in the same direction.

The man was thrown from his bike and struck by a second SUV that was moving in the opposite direction, officials said.
He was then hit by a third car, which sped away from the scene, officials said.

The man was taken to a nearby hospital where he died, officials said.
Officials did not report any injuries from the drivers who stayed at the scene.
Investigators are looking for the driver of the third car. Witnesses told them it was a light-colored or white SUV. They believe a woman, roughly 50-60 years old, was driving the SUV.
