This lecture explores these areas of his life and how we have thought about them in 150 years since his death. After years of fascination and research into the life of Edgar Allan Poe, Kristy Robinett has gathered together her exciting finds on EAP for the novel “Haunted by Poe.” Register - Village.
Poe and the Pseudo-Documentary, Wednesday, April 24 at 6:30 pm – This event will take place at our Crossroads Branch.
Many of Poe's most fascinating works were hoaxes, attempts to present a fictional premise as fact. This lecture will discuss the ways in which Poe's writings continually engaged with the problem of real and the unreal and explain what Poe has to teach us still in our own age of "reality"-TV. “Raven” Film Event at Hartland Music Hall, Thursday, April 25 at 7:00 pm
John Cusack portrays an edgy Edgar Allan Poe on the trail of a serial killer working from Poe’s own macabre stories in this 2012 adult thriller. Register - Hartland Music Hall.
