Obituary: Howard John Hublein

Howard John Hublein, age 76, of Howell, Michigan, peacefully left this world April 20, 2013 at St. Josephs Mercy Hospital, Ann Arbor.

He was born October 23, 1936 in Douglas, Wyoming. He married his wife Martha (Kitter) in 1959, and they enjoyed 54 memorable years together.

Howard was a devoted family man, and at the time of his death, he was surrounded by his wife Martha, his daughters Dianne Hayden Lisa Kincius and son Brian Hublein. Howard also leaves behind a fourth daughter, Julie McCamish of Australia and seven grandchildren, Daniel Vergun, Heather Gaddy, Rachel Vergun, Alex Hayden, Kyle Kincius, Cory McCamish, Emily McCamish.

Howard retired from the General Motors Proving Grounds in 2001, and since then had enjoyed retirement, and completing a number of woodworking projects.

Howard was an avid University of Michigan fan and attended both football and basketball games throughout his life. 

A celebration of Howard’s life will be held on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at 1pm at the Borek-Jennings Funeral Home, Lamb Chapel, 312 S. Michigan Avenue, Howell, Michigan.

Friends and family may visit from 11-1 before the service. Interment with military honors will be held immediately following at the Riddle Cemetery, Oceloa Township.
