Obituary: Roger Miles, 56, Fenton

Roger Curtis Miles, age 56 of Fenton, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 12, 2013 from injuries he sustained in an automobile accident. Born in Detroit on November 24, 1956, he was the son of the late John Z. and the late Mary L. (Gilliland) Miles.

Roger was a graduate of Western High School in Detroit and a Fenton resident for the past 19 years.

He had been employed by Chrysler Corporation since 1983 in the skilled trade of pipefitter/plumber. Roger continued his education at Baker College earning a bachelor degree in business while working full time.

He was a hard working, dedicated father and husband who loved music, yard work and was a very kind hearted person and friend.

Beloved husband of Cheryl (Selewski) Miles whom he married in Dearborn Heights on May 14, 1982. Loving father of Melissa (Andrew) Moravec of Howell and Jeremy (Rebecca Adams) Miles of Detroit. Also survived by his brothers, Frank Kish of Tennessee, Raymond (JoAnn) Kish of Wisconsin, Richard (Brenda) Kish of Howell, Terry (Beth) Miles of Livonia; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his siblings, Debbie Farley, Jimmy Miles and Allan Miles.

Visitation Wednesday 2-4, 6-8 p.m. with funeral services Thursday 11:00 a.m. at MacDonald's Funeral Home, Howell (517-546-2800).
