Here are the top three stories in Lansing-East Lansing today:
- The price of gas in Lansing increased almost 33 cents from a week ago, according to a study by GasBuddy. As we head into summer, the average cost for unleaded gas was $3.59 a gallon with the cheapest gas station in the area charging $3.16. The cost of gas was less than last month by eight cents a gallon. (WILX)
- Students showed off their science knowledge on Sunday at Lansing's first STEAM Expo. Children from the Lansing Public School District exhibited their own projects in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math. The event was organized by local non-profit 517 Hope with the goal of keeping students excited about school. (WILX)
- Road construction will be picking up during the summer. The Michigan Department of Transportation will be working on the I-496 rebuilding project between Lansing Road and MLK Boulevard among other construction work around the city. MDOT has a map of work and road closures at the MI Drive website. (WKAR)
