  1. Michigan State University and its students are still feeling the impact of the campus shooting that took place back in February and the university wants to support students, staff, and the families of those impacted by the incident. Around $300,000 in donations from the Spartan Strong Fund will be used to create a memorial for the students who were killed or injured during the shooting. The money from the donations will also be used for mental health-related costs, helping students impacted continue their education, healing programs, and other things related to supporting those who need it from this terrible event. 2. In case you missed it, over the weekend beer enthusiasts throughout the area gathered in Lansing for the ninth annual Beerfest at REO Town. Attendees made their way out this past Saturday to enjoy food, live music, and test over 100 craft beers and ciders from over 20 breweries. The Beerfest proved to be a great event to bring the community out in a mutual space and enjoy the company of those around. Plans are already being made for next year's event that will mark 10 years of Beerfest in Lansing. (WILX)
  3. Down the road in Grand Ledge, a couple of hometown heroes were honored on Friday night as part of a fundraiser.
