Lansing Bike Co-op gives away more than 120 bikes for free during holiday event (fox47news.com) — Families packed the Allen Neighborhood Center in Lansing this weekend as the Lansing Bike Co-op gave away more than 120 free, refurbished bikes and safety gear to kids and adults. Supported by several local partners, the annual holiday giveaway helps stretch tight budgets, expands transportation options, and is already gearing up for an even bigger 10th year in 2026.

Police, fire, and community volunteers are delivering essentials and companionship right to seniors’ doors, aiming to replace past stressful encounters with first responders with positive memories and year-round support.

A Family Tradition: MSU freshman Jordan Scott steps into the spotlight (wlns.com) — Just down the road in East Lansing, MSU freshman guard Jordan Scott is beginning his Spartan basketball journey, driven by a family steeped in the sport. Michigan clothing company gets more than 50 complaints for not fulfilling orders (wilx.com) — From Lansing’s Attorney General is warning shoppers about complaints against Recollections, Inc., a state-based historical clothing company accused of failing to deliver orders or issue refunds. With more than 50 complaints under review, the state has given the business a deadline to work on a resolution and is reminding residents how to protect themselves when buying online.
