UPDATED: Power Restored for Most Chesterfield Households
Many residents lost electricity Thursday due to strong winds, according to DTE Energy.

Most Chesterfield residents saw power restored around 1:30 p.m. Thursday after strong winds knocked out the lights that morning, according to according to DTE Energy.
Winds that were projected to travel as fast as 22 m.p.h. are considered the culprit for the outage that took place around 9:50 a.m. Thursday for many in the area, including those in the 24 Mile corridor.
By afternoon, about 1,370 households in the 48047 area code were experiencing outages and about 1,050 households in the 48051 area code didn't have power, the DTE Outage Map showed.

All except about 25 customers got their power back around 2 p.m. that day, according to DTE.
