Chesterfield Auto Parts Suppliers Charged with Fraud
Authorities allege Davalor Mold of the township falsified reports of the quality of plastic for seat belt assemblies.

The owners of a Chesterfield Township company that supplies parts to the auto industry are facing fraud charges stemming from a plastic quality investigation, according to published reports.Β
Orman and David Bernhardt of Davalor Mold and their attorney Bob Sheehan did not return calls placed by Patch for comment.
According to the Associated Press, the brothers are accused of using cheaper materials than required in seat belt assemblies and then covering it up with false reports. Sheehan told the AP after the fraud charge was filed Monday that guilty pleas are planned, but that federal regulators tested the parts and there's no safety issue.Β
