Chesterfield To Honor Late Police Dog
Explosives-detecting K-9 officer, Chaos, will be honored following his recent death.

Chesterfield Township Board of Trustees is scheduled to honor late veteran police dog, Chaos, at its Feb. 22 meeting.
Chaos, who was diagnosed with cancer after retiring in recent weeks, was put down several days ago, Police Chief Bruce Smith said Tuesday night.
According to the K9 Academy Training Facility's website, Chaos was a German Shepherd born in Czechoslovakia. He was trained in detecting explosives and was a certified patrol dog with the International Police Working Dog Association. He joined the force in July 2002.

Chaos was the loyal partner of Sgt. Ken Franks, Smith said.
His death leaves Bulzi, a German Shepherd trained in narcotic detection, as the sole remaining police dog on the force.
