Children can participate Monday in the march through downtown New Baltimore to honor fallen soldiers by decorating their bikes.
A Memorial Day parade will march through downtown New Baltimore to honor soldiers who gave their lives for our country.
The event, which usually draws about 200 attendees, is scheduled to start at 10 a.m. Monday at Washington and Front streets and travel three blocks to for ceremonies. The parade will then stop at and St. Mary's cemeteries on 24 Mile, organizer and Parks and Recreation Director Mike Hoffard said Wednesday.
The event in which local veterans will march is intended to be respectful and solemn.

"It's to honor our vets," Hoffard said. "It's not a carnival."
Children can join the tribute by decorating their bicycles in honor of Memorial Day. Lineup for the parade is at 9:30 a.m. For more information or to register a bike, call 586-725-0291.
