Military Families: Share Your Stories and Pictures Here

New Baltimore-Chesterfield Patch wants to hear from the courageous people around town who fought for this country or residents whose loved ones are currently in combat.

Leading his address to the nation Sunday night, President Barack Obama said, "Tonight, I can report to the American people and to the world that the United States has conducted an operation that killed Osama bin Laden, the leader of al-Qaida, and a terrorist who’s responsible for the murder of thousands of innocent men, women and children."

The news, anticipated by an embattled nation for a decade following the 9/11 attacks, did not mean an end to military presence overseas.

The president added at one point, "Yet his death does not mark the end of our effort. There’s no doubt that al-Qaida will continue to pursue attacks against us. We must–and we willβ€”remain vigilant at home and abroad."
