More Than 200 Local Households Without Power This Holiday

A total of about 4,000 DTE Energy customers lost power during the Saturday night storm, but 258 of those households did not have power restored by Monday morning.

More than 200 DTE Energy customers in Chesterfield and New Baltimore were still without power Monday morning, according to the electric company.

DTE spokesman Len Singer said crews working around the clock are expected to be in the area again on the holiday to restore power to most of those affected households. However, some isolated pockets may not get their lights back on until Tuesday.

A total of 4,000 DTE customers in the Chesterfield Township area lost power during the Saturday night thunderstorm, with many seeing it restored immediately after, Singer said.
