Parents Talk: Are School Supply Lists Reasonable or Financial Burden?

As classes resume this week, parents will get back in the routine of packing lunches, sending kids off to the bus stop and checking homework.

Many parents or guardians will also have their school supply lists complete and ready for the teachers to accept the goods.

Districts regularly hand out a list of that range from crayons to disinfectant wipes, ensuring parents and students come prepared for school. While the supplies are not legally mandated, they do help the districts financially.
