Visions for Vacancies: What Do You Want to Replace Former Farmer Jack Space?

Patch asks readers to share their hopes for vacancies in Chesterfield and New Baltimore.

You've passed them frequently. You remembered when they were hustling retail centers. Perhaps, you shopped at them and wished something else would take their places.

In our weekly Visions for Vacancies feature, readers become pseudo city planners by offering an opportunity to share dreams for empty storefronts.

The first subject in this series is the old Farmer Jack storefront in the plaza at Gratiot and 23 Mile. The defunct grocery chain has left a vacancy in a highly visible spot in Chesterfield Township. Nothing has replaced it and, as of recently, no official plans have been submitted to take its place.
