A free public reception with light fare and refreshments highlighting the juried exhibition Art of the Story. On view May 29 – June 30, this exhibition invited artists from around the country to explore the connection between literature and the visual arts. Each artist was given the challenge to select a fiction or nonfiction book that moves them and create works in any medium that visually interpret or respond to its pages. Books spark imagination, stir emotion, and transport us to new worlds—artists bring those worlds to life! Juried by Katie Rothley, Marketing & Public Relations Librarian at the Northville District Library, this exhibition celebrates the magic of storytelling and the creative journeys it inspires.
