Today we feature Edward Kriewall, who is running for Northville Township supervisor. He is one of three Republican candidates for supervisor who will be on the ballot for township voters. They seek to replace Mark Abbo,. The winner of the primary will also win the November general election, as there is no Democratic challenger.

Q: Number of years a resident of Northville Township?

Northville Township resident for 8 months

Q: Educational and/or military background?

B.A. Political science and Master of Public Administration M.P.A.

Q:  Why are you running for office?

I'm retired, I have the time and I have the ideal experience and education for this position. I can make a difference in the direction and future of Northville Township.

Q: What are the biggest issues facing the township that you hope to address? What are its biggest successes that you hope to continue?

Biggest issues: Traffic, road capacities and road conditions  are the biggest issues facing the township.  Residential development has been a great success. I would like to see quality residential development continue.

Q: We've reported quite a bit on developments at the Seven Mile property, the former psychiatric hospital, and at the Robert Scott Correctional Facility. What do you hope to see done with the Seven Mile Property and Robert Scott Correctional Facility?

I would like to see world class community uses implemented at both sites. Hallmark facilities for the residents to enjoy.

I am ready to join the trustee team in furtherance of continued  excellent stewardship of a stellar community.
