Crime Report: Northville Teen Accused of Trying to Enter Wrong House, Cited For Underage Drinking

A Northville teen was dropped off at a home on Concord Street on May 31 that was presumably his. But it wasn't, according to a city of Northville police report.

Someone reported what they believed to be an attempted break-in. The 19-year-old told police that he lived there, but he actually lived down the street, and was dropped off by his friend. When police asked for his identification, he went to the car to retrieve it.

While standing by the car, the officer noticed open alcohol bottles, according to the police report. Both teens, the driver of the car and the teen who lived on the street, were given blood-alcohol content tests and cited for underage drinking. The driver was additionally cited for having open intoxicants in a motor vehicle.

Vehicle break-in reported

A Jeep parked on the 20000 block of Woodbend Drive was broken into on June 4, its owner reported to Northville Township police. Golf clubs were reported stolen from the vehicle. There were no signs of forced entry and the owner was not sure if the vehicle was left unlocked.

Accused shoplifter arrested

A man was seen on June 1 by another customer at leaving the store without paying for items. According to township police reports, the 29-year-old Livonia man was cited with larceny - stealing.

Seven Mile trespassers arrested

Four people, three from Canton and one from Wayne, were cited on June 3 for trespassing on the Seven Mile property, the former psychiatric hospital, according to township police reports.

They were spotted by an officer on the northeast corner of the property and told police they were checking out buildings before they were torn down, according to the report. They were cited and released at the scene. They are due to appear in the 35th District Court in late June.

Man reports items stolen

A resident of apartments on Main Street reported to police that bags and other items were stolen from in front of his door, according to city police reports.

The man's girlfriend had dropped him off and he left the items in front of his door because he forgot his key in her car. When he returned, the items were gone, he told police.

A laptop, clothing, cash and other items were stolen, according to the police report.
