DIA's Inside|Out Art Program is Coming to Northville
Various pieces of artwork will be installed on Northville streets next week, in time for the Arts & Acts Festival.

Six spots around downtown Northville will feature replicas of well-known artwork as part of the Detroit Insititute of Arts (DIA) Inside|Out program.
Installation of the pieces is expected to begin next week, said Catherine Woods of Northville's Downtown Development Authority (DDA). The program brings the museum's art to the outdoors. Several communities around Detroit, including and , have been host to the program.
"We intend to plan a lot of events in conjunction with this," she said, though they may be scheduled later this summer.

She added that Northville's art culture lends itself to such a project.
"Northville has lots of public art on display," Woods said. "Northville is an art-loving town."

The pieces will allow the DDA to promote the town's art culture in addition to the DIA, she said.
The art will likely be arranged in a walking tour through downtown. The first piece will be featured at the and at Northville Square. Another will be hung on Main Street on the wall of the and another on the opposite side of the intersection on the wall. A fifth piece will be displayed in Northville's town square and another in Hutton Park near .
The Inside|Out program will be open just in time for a busy Northville weekend in which the , and Solstice Run will also be held.
