Northville opened up the second half with several near misses as they started to hit the iron. Mallory Weber and Jamie Cheslik both got behind the defense a couple of times with Weber grazing the outside of the left post. Another shot hit the inside of the left post and was almost dragged into the net by the off-balance Novi keeper. Novi had a last ditch effort with 30 seconds to play on a corner kick from the left side. The ball was played deep into the box but goalkeeper Kiki Hilmer was up to the challenge and punched the ball out of the box and out of danger as time ran out.
