The Northville Mustangs beat the South Lyon East Cougars Tuesday night by a score of 4-0.
At the 35-minute mark, from a corner kick, sophomore Rachel Yaggi played a long cross from the left hand side of the field to senior Jenni Borawski. She fired a hard shot on net that deflected of the Cougar keeper. Sophomore Megan Buckingham got the deflection and scored the goal.
Later, "Senior Mallory Weber and Senior Claire McHugh performed a nifty give-n-go that resulted in a goal for Weber and an assist for McHugh," Brucker said. Just a few minutes later, off of a corner kick, Senior Weber played a cross into the middle of the Cougar defense. "Junior Emily Bush played a beautiful header past the keeper for the third goal of the game," Brucker said.

Then, minutes later, according to coach Brucker, "Weber started the next goal sequence as she played a ball out wide to Yaggi. Yaggi fired a wicked shot that bounced off the keepers hands. Junior Emily Bush was there for the rebound to record the goal; her second of the game. Junior Kiki Hilmer was in net for the Northville shutout."
With this division win, Northville clinches the KLAA Central Division, Brucker said. They will next play against Plymouth in the Kensington Conference crossover game on May 21..
