Northville Man Faces Gun Charges After Altercation
The following information was provided by Northville Police. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

Northville Police responded Feb. 24 to an apartment complex in the city for a report of a possible domestic disturbance or fight where at least one involved person was leaving the scene in a dark-colored SUV, according to a police report.
When police arrived, they found a black Ford Explorer parked with a door open with two men and a woman in the area, the report indicated.
One man told police he had come to the other man’s apartment to confirm that his girlfriend was cheating on him with the other man, who he said had previously been one of his friends.

The man told police he knocked on the door of the man living at the apartment and pushed past the man to enter the bedroom, where he found his girlfriend in bed. He told police he left after a small scuffle, but returned to knock on the door again and the man at the apartment answered the door and punched and kicked him in the face.
While at the scene, the man living at the apartment told police he had a concealed pistol license (CPL) and was currently carrying a firearm, the report indicated. Police detected signs that the man was intoxicated and retrieved the concealed firearm, a Walther PPKS, from his waistband, the report indicated.

The man at the apartment agreed to take a preliminary breath test, indicating a .11 percent blood alcohol content. Police arrested the man on charges of carrying a concealed weapon while intoxicated, the report indicated.
The man later told police he did not have a CPL card with him, and police found the man had a pending CPL that had not yet been approved. According to police, the man now could face charges of carrying a concealed weapon without a permit, a felony, and carrying a concealed weapon while intoxicated.
The man is awaiting arraignment.
