Police Arrest Northville Woman on Charges of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol

Northville Township police arrested a Northville woman around 1 a.m. Aug. 17 on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, according to a police report.

The officer saw the driver of a silver 2005 Mazda 6 tailgating another car and weaving in its lane, the report said, near the intersection of Haggerty and Seven Mile roads. The officer stopped the driver and smelled intoxicants from the car’s open window, according to the report.

The woman's preliminary breathalyzer test had a result of .146 percent blood alcohol content, the report said. The legal limit is .08 percent.

The officer arrested her, according to the report. The woman posted a $300 bond and has a hearing Aug. 28 at 35th District Court, the report said.
