Police Arrest Northville Woman on Charges of Driving with Open Intoxicants
The following information was supplied by Northville Township police.

Northville Township police arrested a Northville woman July 22 on charges of having open intoxicants in a vehicle, according to a police report.
An officer saw the driver of a 2010 black Ford Fusion traveling 55 mph in a 45 mph zone on Seven Mile Road near Northridge Drive, the report said. The officer did a background check on the license plate and found that the registered owner of the car had a suspended driver’s license, according to the report.
The officer stopped the driver and smelled intoxicants while standing outside of the car, the report said. Another officer who arrived as backup saw a bottle of intoxicants behind the passenger seat on the floor, according to the report. The first officer saw a couple of plastic cups in the front and back seat cup holders, the report said.

The woman said her passengers, who she already dropped off, had been drinking in the car, according to the report.
The officers arrested her for driving with a suspended license and for having open intoxicants in a vehicle, the report said.

She has an hearing Aug. 17 at 35th District Court.
