Police Arrest Royal Oak Woman on Charges of Driving Under the Influence

The following information was supplied by the Northville Township police department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Northville Township police arrested a Royal Oak woman on June 9 on charges of driving under the influence, according to a police report. 

An officer saw the driver of a black 2013 Ford Edge weaving within her lane on Seven Mile Road, the report said. The officer stopped the driver near the intersection of Northridge Drive and Seven Mile Road and smelled intoxicants, according to the report.

The woman said she had a couple of drinks over several hours and did not feel buzzed, the report said.

She took a preliminary breathalyzer test, which had a result of .157 percent blood alcohol content, according to the report. The legal limit is .08 percent.

The officer arrested her and took her to the Northville Township police department, the report said. She posted a $300 bond and has a hearing June 26 at 35th District Court.
