3 Cars Broken Into at Novi Hotels

The following information was provided by the Novi Police Department.

Three people reported their cars were broken into while parked at Novi hotels on the night of Jan. 22-23, according to Novi police reports.

A man reported the driver's side window and a side window on his 2013 Jeep was smashed sometime between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. while it was parked at the Courtyard Detroit hotel, according to a police report. The GPS system was stolen from the dashboard, causing an estimated $1,000 in damage, the report said.

Another person reported their 2012 Jeep was broken into sometime between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. while it was parked at the Residence Inn, a report said. The passenger rear window was smashed out and the GPS system was again stolen from the dashboard, the report said.

Another person staying at the Residence Inn reported their car was broken into that night. The man's rental car, a Chrysler Town & Country, was broken into sometime between 4:30 p.m. on Jan. 22 and 9:20 a.m. on Jan. 23, the report said. The passenger window had been smashed out and a GPS was stolen, the report said.

Novi police do not have any suspects or witnesses for the crimes.
