Car Windows Smashed, Catalytic Converter Stolen

The following information was supplied by the Novi Police Department. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

A man reported damage to his Jeep Patriot on Manor Park Drive sometime between 7 p.m. on Oct. 22 and 5 p.m. on Oct. 23, according to a police report. The man said that he opened his passenger side door on Oct. 23, and when he closed it, he heard and saw the driver’s side window shatter, the report said. The report said that no entry was gained into the vehicle and nothing was taken.

The rear window of another car was reported smashed on Oct. 23 on 13 Mile Road, according to a police report. The complainant said he is not having any problems with anyone and has no idea who may have done it, the report said. The police could not find the object that may have been used to smash the window or any other evidence, the report said.

Catalytic converter stolen

A woman reported the catalytic converter was stolen from her car sometime during the night of Oct. 22-23, according to a police report. The woman’s Pontiac Sunfire was parked outside of the Westgate VI Apartments, the report said. When she went to her car in the morning, she noticed it was making a loud sound and realized the converter was missing. The police do not have any suspects, the report said.
