Detroit Lions to Appear at Gardner-White Grand Openings

Detroit Lions players will attend the grand opening celebrations of two new Gardner-White locations inside local Best Buy stores on Friday.

At the Best Buy in West Oaks in Novi, cornerback Chris Houston will make an appearance from 6-7:30 p.m. on Sept. 28. Meanwhile, wide receiver Nate Burleson will greet fans at the Bloomfield Hills Best Buy.

Gardner-White's grand opening party will continue throughout the weekend. Party hours are Friday 6-9 p.m., Saturday noon to 9 p.m. and Sunday noon to 6 p.m.

More than $25,000 in prizes will be given away, including a $10,000 Gardner-White shopping spree. Drawings will be held for big prizes every 30 minutes.

Prizes include the following:

• 51” Samsung TVs
• Leather sectionals and reclining sofas
• Entertainment centers
• Brand name mattresses
• Kindle Fires
• 32” Toshiba TVs
• Blu-ray DVD players

Gardner-White will also be giving away DVD copies of The Avengers with any purchase.

While the parties are free of charge, Gardner-White is requesting donations of clean, new or gently used blankets.  The company will match the total number of blankets donated.  All blankets will be given to Volunteers of America for local distribution to military veterans and families.
