Tickets are now on sale for The Music Man presented by the Novi Civic Theatre. The show opens Friday, March 9 and tickets may be purchased online at cityofnovi.org or at the (45175 West Ten Mile Road) Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
An affectionate tribute to Smalltown, U.S.A. of a bygone era, Meredith Willson’s The Music Man follows fast-talking traveling salesman Harold Hill as he cons the people of River City, Iowa into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys’ band he vows to organize, despite the fact he doesn’t know a trombone from a treble clef. With timeless classic numbers “Seventy-Six Trombones”, “Till There Was You”, and “Trouble”, this show brings fun to the whole family!
"We really wanted to make this show part of our 20th anniversary season because it has parts for all ages," said Lauren Nowakowski, cultural arts supervisor and show producer. "The chorus is truly part of the story and really pushes the plot along. It’s a great show, the whole family will enjoy!”
