Great Lakes Art Fair Returns to Novi This Weekend

The fair runs April 12-14.

The Great Lakes Art Fair is back this year in Novi. This event will run from April 12-14 at Suburban Collection Showplace at 46100 Grand River Ave.

More than 150 talented artists will be in attendance at this year’s art fair to showcase their one-of-a-kind artwork. Patrons will enter through the Grand Gallery entrance and can experience a weekend full of fine art, live demonstrations and entertainment. This fun-filled family event will feature artwork for every age.

  • Friday: 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Saturday: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Sunday: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Cost of admission for adults is $7 and children 12 years of age and younger are admitted for free. Parking is complimentary.

Andiamo’s Ladies Day Out

Back by popular demand is “Andiamo’s Ladies Day Out.” On Friday, ladies and their girlfriends can enjoy half-off admission, and a complimentary glass of wine upon arrival.

Generation Next Art Displays

Generation Next Art Displays will provide young artists the opportunity to experience the excitement of the Great Lakes Art Fair. This event will highlight elementary, middle and high school students’ personal artwork.

Chalk Park

Walk along side works of art that will be created before the patrons’ eyes. This family fun event will make an appearance for the first time at the Great Lakes Art Fair. The Chalk Park competition will be held on Friday and Saturday during event hours, and participants must be 12 years of age and older. Talented artists that will be participating in this event will have the opportunity to display their artwork during the competitions; each participant will compete for a cash prize.

Art Demonstrations

Patrons will get the chance to watch the beauty of art come to life during live art demonstrations. Patrons will have the opportunity to witness ceramics, wood carving and paintings, there will even be a blacksmith creating stunning metal pieces on-site.

Gleaners Community Food Bank

On Sunday, attendees who donate five canned food items will receive 50 percent off their admission ticket. The Great Lakes Art Fair will be accepting donations throughout the entire weekend.
