Marlee's to Host 2 Events to Benefit Breast Cancer Awareness

Marlee's by Tapper's, a new retailer at Twelve Oaks Mall, will host two events to help create awareness for breast cancer this month.

Marlee's sells jewelry and accessories featuring a shopping experience created by women, for women.

Marlee's welcomes Movado for a trunk show from 2-6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13. The trunk show features a collection of timepieces, including the 2012 Movado BOLD Breast Cancer Awareness Watch. Designed to support the fight against breast cancer, the special edition timepiece retails for $395. Movado will donate $50 from the sale of each watch to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

On Tuesday, Oct. 16 from 6-8 p.m., Marlee's will host "Get Chic for a Cause." Marlee's stylists will be on hand to help guests choose the most fitting jewelry, scarves and handbags for fall. Shoppers get 10 percent off everything in the store, and 10 percent of sales will benefit the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute.

“Giving back to the community is a long-standing tradition for the Tapper family, so it's only natural for Marlee's to kick off its new location with two wonderful charitable events," said Ann Duke, director of marketing for Marlee's and Tappers Diamond and Fine Jewelry, in a statement.

Marlee's is located in the center of Twelve Oaks Mall on the second level.
