Novi Halloween Party Hopes to Break Guinness World Record
"The Haunted Kingdom" will be a 65,000 square foot event at Suburban Collection Showplace on Oct. 27.
Thousands are expected to attend "The Haunted Kingdom" in Novi this October to celebrate Halloween and maybe even break a Guinness World Record.
The mega Halloween event returns to Novi for the fourth year on Saturday, Oct. 27 from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. at Suburban Collection Showplace. The show's presenters think that the expected high attendance in the 65,000 square-foot area could make it the largest Halloween event ever.
"We really try to make this the do-not-miss Halloween event in metro Detroit, and it's kind of become that," said Craig Jelinek, one of the event's presenters.

The event will include DJs, dancers, performers, fortune tellers and other entertainers. This year's shows are under wraps, but previous performances include aerial acrobatics, a tribute to Michael Jackson, and a living statue.
Along with Jelinek, the event is presented by Mikey George, Jody Haddad, Mike Anthony, Jay Noonchester and Fiaz & Kevin Cermak. They have all been organizing events for years, but decided to come together five years ago to start Haunted Kingdom.Â

"Instead of fighting against each other and doing events on the same night, we decided to get a little smarter and work a little harder and build something bigger and better for everyone - and not split the crowd, but bring it together," Jelinek said.

Attendees must be 21 or older. General admission tickets are now up to $40 and can be purchased online, along with hotel packages and VIP tickets at various prices. Approximately 55-60 VIP booths are available. The parking fee is $10 or $20 for VIP parking.
