Novi Offers Saturday Events for Seniors

Everyone looks forward to Saturdays, but even more so when it is a Super Saturday! Novi’s Older Adult Services turns up the fun with themed Saturday events designed for those 55 years and older. Each Super Saturday event takes place at the Meadowbrook Activity Center, 25075 Meadowbrook Road, between 4-6 p.m. Dinner is included and the price is $7.50 per Novi resident or $9 for non-residents.

• Saturday, March 23 – Disney Celebration: “M.I.C.K.E.Y. M.O.U.S.E.” and “It’s a Small World After All” are two of many songs that bring smiles and special memories of one’s childhood. Ticket purchase deadline is March 20.

• Saturday, May 5 – Kentucky Derby: Hear the roar of the crowd and the high energy announcers at Churchill Downs during the most exciting two minutes in sports! “Horse around” with Derby Day activities. Derby apparel is encouraged, but not required. Ticket purchase deadline is May 1.

Tickets are limited and must be purchased in advance at the Meadowbrook Activity Center or the Novi Civic Center, 45175 W. 10 Mile Road. Transportation to Super Saturday events is available for $1 each way. Transportation reservations may be made by calling 248-735-5617.
