Novi's Emergency Run to Benefit Boston

The annual 5K and 1-mile-walk is today.

Proceeds from the fourth Emergency Run 5K and 1-mile stroke walk will benefit One Fund Boston, which aids the people most affected by the tragic events that occurred in Boston last month.

The City of Novi police and fire departments will host the annual run and walk 8 a.m. Saturday at Novi's Providence Park Hospital in partnership with the hospital, Sam’s Club and Running Fit.

Almost 400 people attended last year's run. This year’s event will include a HealthFest with informational booths, children activities, the chance to interact with emergency first responders and refreshments.

  • The day-of registration fee is $35 for the run and $15 for the walk.
  • Children 8 and under are free.
  • Awards will be given to the top three finishers in each race category with all participating children receiving a medal.

The 5K course is a concrete course exclusively on Providence Park’s campus, while the one-mile walk is on an asphalt and grass pathway throughout the campus. The course will have aid stations and mile splits.
