Police said Kring thought he was talking to a 12-year-old girl online, but was actually speaking with an Indiana-based citizen-operated online predator group agent who was posing as the girl.
The group told officers that Kring started the conversation and started having sexual conversations with the decoy, sending explicit pictures and videos of himself.

Kring then suggested they meet at a Holly business, where he planned to meet the 12-year-old girl, according to police.
The online group drove from Indiana to that Holly location to make the meet, according to police.
The online group gathered evidence and turned it over to police at the location, where officers arrested Kring in connection with the incident for questioning, according to police.
While going through Kring's phone, investigators recovered evidence that he was the person who planned to meet at the Holly location and to go to another location to have sex with the girl, according to police.
