Beginning Monday, maintenance work will be done on some of Oakland County's outdoor warning sirens throughout the month, according to the City of Novi website.
Once work is complete on each siren, they will be tested for 30 seconds.
An actual warning siren that advises of inclement weather sounds for three minutes. If you hear a three-minute siren, seek shelter immediately.
