A woman said she was in the shoe department when she put her navy blue Hermes handbag down to try on some shoes, according to the report. She got up to look around and realized that she forgot her bag. When she returned to where she set it down, it was gone, the report said. Â
According to the report, inside the purse were: keys, a garage door opener, checkbook, inhaler, credit cards, a cashier's check for $4,500, $800 cash and an iPhone 5.Â

Police are looking for a black woman with a thin build — 40 to 50 years old, 5 feet 10 inches tall — who may have taken the bag, the report said. She was seen with black shoes, a brown purse and a blue-and-white plaid trench coat, according to the report.
A Macy’s employee told police that she saw the above-mentioned suspect carrying the handbag with her, the report said. The employee thought it was suspicious that the woman was carrying a purse and a handbag but didn’t question it, according to the report, until she saw the other woman looking for her bag.
