Sean Zecman of National Food Group Named to Crain's 40 Under 40

National Food Group CEO Sean Zecman, 38, was named to the Crain's Detroit Busines 40 Under 40 class for 2012.

Zecman started helping out with the family business at the age of 16 and bought it from his father in 2002 to avoid letting the business go to a competitor, according to Crain's.

Zecman plans to make National Food Group the top contender in the commercial food industry, serving prisons and schools, he told Crain's.

He and other awardees will be honored at an event taking place 5:30-9 p.m Oct. 24 at Shriners Silver Garden Events Center in Southfield. Go to www.crainsdetroit.com/events for more information or to purchase tickets.
