Thieves Steal $10K In Jewelry From Oakland County Shop: Police
Police are looking for four people in connection with a $10,000 theft from an Oakland County jewelry store.
NOVI, MI — Police are looking for four people in connection with a $10,000 theft from a Novi jewelry store.
The theft happened Saturday afternoon at the Gold Buy and Jewelry Pawn Loans, located on Grand River Avenue near Meadowbrook Road, according to police.
Police said a woman in her 60s and wearing a hijab, or head covering, walked into the jewelry store with a teenage boy and asked about a ring for one of her sons.

Two other men then walked into the jewelry store and also asked about rings, according to police.
The men were standing at an adjacent display to the jewelry store employee, according to police.

When the jewelry store employee was distracted by the first two customers, one of the men reached over the counter and opened the jewelry case and grabbed a box of 18 rings, according to police.
The other man then put the box in a satchel style purse before leaving together shortly afterward, according to police.
As of Wednesday, police are considering all four people suspects in the theft.
Police described one man as standing 6 feet 2 inches tall with a medium build, short black hair, glasses and had a short beard. He was wearing a black long sleeved shirt and black pants, according to police.
Police described the other man, who was carrying a satchel, as standing 5-foot-8 with a thin build and wearing a beanie cap, a white button down shirt and black slacks.
