Weekend Events: LEGO Kidsfest and Halloween Fun
Here are some things to do around Novi Oct. 12-14.

 LEGO Kidsfest
- Where: Suburban Collection Showplace
- When: Friday 4-8:30 p.m., Saturday - Session 1: 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday - Session 2: 3-7:30 p.m., Sunday - Session 1: 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday - Session 2: 3-7:30 p.m.
- Pricing:Â $18 for children ages 3-17, $65 for seniors ages 65+, $20 for adults, children 2 and younger are free. Parking is $5.Â
- Why Go: This event brings all of the creative hands-on, minds-on fun of LEGO building and experiences together in one family event for children of all ages and builders of all skills and interests. Be sure to purchase your tickets early. The second session on Saturday is already sold out.Â
Colored Pencil Exhibit Opens
- Where: Novi Civic Center Atrium
- When: Friday 7-9 p.m.
- Pricing: Free
- Why Go: Enjoy refreshments and see the grand opening of the new exhibit, which displays the artwork of the Colored Pencil Society of America through Oct. 30.Â
Halloween at the Marquis Theatre
- Where: Marquis Theatre, 133 E. Main St., Northville
- When: Saturday and Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
- Pricing: $8.50
- Why Go: The energetic (and not scary), live musical adventure is full of singing and dancing. Find out which ghoul will be the Hocus Pocus winner. Children are welcome to wear their costumes.
